The Goal
We have quite a few repeat clients, but Chef Walter Staib and his team were one of the first. After designing the website for his well-known TV show A Taste of History, Walter was anxious to re-vamp his restaurant’s website – City Tavern. Being a historical eatery, with the waitstaff wearing 18th century garb, they wanted a site that had a fine mix of historical and modern.
The Solution
To accomplish that mix, we made sure the images were strong enough to entice while the subtle colors and old-school icons (borrowed from their menu) ensured that historical feel. Besides being able to view all of their menus, we built a reservation system and link to their awesome gift shop.
